Glycidyl methacrylate is an enoate ester obtained by formal condensation of the carboxy group of methacrylic acid with the hydroxy group of glycidol. It is an epoxide and an enoate ester. Glycidyl methacrylate is a colorless liquid with a fruity odor. Floats on water. (USCG, 1999)
