Hexamethylendiisocyanat ist eine Diisocyanatverbindung, bei der die beiden Isocyanate über eine Hexan-1,6-diylgruppe verbunden sind. Es hat die Funktion eines Allergens und eines Haptens. Hexamethylendiisocyanat erscheint als farbloses kristallines Feststoff. Giftig durch Aufnahme und stark reizend für Haut und Augen. Es wird zur Herstellung von Nylon verwendet.
